Our newly-remodeled 1- and 2-bedroom apartments are located in the heart of Belvidere, just off of State St and Logan Ave, situating it within walking distance to a myriad of local shops, cafés, bars, and restaurants, the Belvidere Community Building, and everything else downtown Belvidere has to offer.
Gorman & Company purchased Pearl Place in 2023, and immediately began renovations on the building, working to update and remodel each apartment while taking care to restore and preserve the building's historic charm. Our remodel included brand new flooring and paint throughout the building, plus new kitchen appliances and key fob locks for each of the new apartments.
The oldest part of the Pearl Place building was originally built in 1893. Its first addition was completed in 1916, which is when it became the Belvidere High School. Today, this historic building retains much of its original charm; our hallways have school-style and width, the original staircases are all still present, and many of our apartments feature high ceilings and oversized windows.
